Liturgical Ministry
Eucharistic Ministers
Training is held on an as-needed basis ( usually twice a year ).
Volunteers for the Masses in English must be willing to serve at either of the
Masses. For more information, please call Clarene at the Parish Office at
(360) 653-9400. Those participating must have received
the Sacrament of Confirmation and must be registered in the parish.
Eucharistic Ministers to the Ill and Homebound
If a family member is seriously ill, scheduled for surgery, or suffering in
old age, please let us know. Eucharistic Ministers will bring Communion to
the homebound in the parish, and we would like to include them on our list of
parishioners to remember in prayer. Please contact Clarene Schadee in the

Church Readers
Training for those wishing to become part of this group is held on an
as-needed basis. You need a good speaking voice and a willingness to
serve at either of the Masses in English. Please contact Clarene at the

Sanctuary Servers ( Altar Servers )
In order to become an altar server, you must be 11 years old ( 5th grade ) or
older. Training is held on an as-needed basis, with notification in the
Sunday bulletin. We encourage siblings to consider serving in this
ministry together. The server must be willing to serve at either of the

Ushers
All parishioners are welcome to join this ministry. Families are
encouraged to serve together. Volunteers should be willing to server at

Music Ministries
Angels of Light Children's Choir
The Children's Choir is open to all kids in 1st thru 6th grade. We sing seasonally from November to May, including Christmas Eve. Practices are in the Church on Wednesdays 6:30 to 7:15, beginning in mid-October.

Spirit and Song ( SAS-Y )
This choir is for the young and “young at heart”. Practices are held on Monday evening from 6 or 6:30 p.m. (depending on choir members who are in the Youth Group) to 7:30 p.m., in the church. They are our music ministers at the 11:00 a.m. Mass every other Sunday, beginning in autumn.

9:00 a.m. Adult Choir
The adult choir members are the music ministers at the 9:00 a.m. mass every
Sunday. Practices are held Wednesday evening in the church from 7:00 p.m.
to 9:00 p.m., from the end of August through June. New volunteers in all

Filipino Choir
The Filipino choir practices every other Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
in the church. Directed by Beth Sabastian, they are the music ministers at
the 11:00 a.m. mass every other Sunday, beginning in mid-to-late February

Spanish Choir
The Children's Choir meets on Saturday afternoons at 4:00 p.m.
The Young Adults Choir meets on Saturday afternoons at 6:00 p.m.
Hispanic Ministry
This group comes together to accomplish the many needs of the Hispanic
parishioners at the Church of St. Mary. They offer training for Liturgical
Ministry (Eucharistic minister, reader, and altar servers). They also
prepare couples for marriage, and facilitate parent/Godparent sessions for
Baptism, as well as support the parish youth group. Meetings are held on
Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Center. Prayer Group (Oracion) is on Friday at 7:00 p.m. They participate in numerous functions in
the Parish, as well as the Archdiocese. For more information, please call

Hospitality Ministry
Coffee Hour
The Hospitality Group welcomes parishioners after Sunday Masses in the Parish
Center, by serving donuts, juice, and coffee. If you would like to
volunteer (families are encouraged to serve together), please call Fred
and/or Shirley Dockendorf (see your Parish Handbook for the number) or leave a
message for them at the Parish Office, (360) 653-9400.
Service Ministry
Funeral Luncheon Program
When it is requested by the family, this group or volunteers brings and/or
serves food in the Parish Center to the family and friends of the deceased following the funeral Mass. If you
would like to volunteer to bring prepared food, help serve food, and/or help in
the setup or cleanup, please call the Parish office at (360) 653-9400..
Marysville Community Food Bank
The Marysville Community Food Bank began in 1985 as a non-profit
organization supported by 12 area churches. Our parishioners contribute
everything from food and money, to plastic grocery bags and empty egg
cartons. If you would like to donate food or money to help families in our
community, you can stop by the Marysville Food Bank at 6518 60th Drive NE
(next to the YMCA) any morning from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., or you can
bring your donations to the hallway in front of the parish office during
regular business hours. For more information or to volunteer, the telephone

St. Vincent de Paul
St. Vincent de Paul is a society of volunteer lay people who
work on behalf of the poor. In 1988, a St. Vincent de Paul Conference was
started at our Parish. Donations from our parishioners have allowed us to
assist people in the Marysville area with utility bills, prescriptions, rent
assistance, food, gas vouchers, and emergency housing. Meetings at St.
Mary's are held the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the Parish
Center. There is a need for more volunteers. If you want more
information, or if you wish to volunteer, call either Sandy Keaton or Barb
Klokkevold.

Pregnancy Aid
Pregnancy Aid of Snohomish County, located at 2731 Tenth Street in Everett,
has served mothers and their children for over 33 years. Practical and
emotional support are given with no strings attached and no judgments made.
A mother may receive maternity clothing, baby clothing, toddler clothing,
emergency baby formula, emergency diapers, some baby furniture, and
referrals for help that cannot be directly provided. Pregnancy Aid is an
all-volunteer social service agency that is supported by individual donations
and is a 501 (C) 3 tax-exempt organization. For help, or to volunteer,

WIC (Women, Infants, Children)
The federally-funded Women, Infant and Children Food Supplement and
Nutrition Education Program (WIC) is administered in Snohomish County by
Pregnancy Aid. For those pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and young
children who are eligible, the program provides nutrition education to
parents and nutritious food to supplement the participant’s diet. One of
the many outreach clinic locations is here at the Church of St. Mary Parish
Hall, several times a month. For additional information or eligibility
